Description

• Bristol ACTIVE RUST PRIMER is an air drying acrylic polymer.
• This coating can be used as a pre-treating agent for the protection of steel.
• Bristol ACTIVE RUST PRIMER has high wet penetrating qualities with good adhesion to a wide variety of metallic substrates and a good balance between hardness and flexibility.  This results in a very tough surface coating.

Application

• To use ACTIVE RUST PRIMER as a metal primer.
• Stir well before use
• Wash tools with water immediately after use.
• Warning: Do not apply in cold conditions or of high humidity
• Colour:  Off-White solution
• Finish: After application and chemical reaction, colour changes to turquoise and dries silver grey/black, semi-gloss finish.
• ACTIVE RUST PRIMER can be top dressed with our range of paints laquers and coatings, as well as cellulose paints and solvent borne marine coatings.

Properties

• Drying Time: 1-3 hours Hard dry. 12-24 hours curing time on good air circulation and temperature.
• Re-Coat: 1-3 hours in open air
• Coverage: 7 - 10 square metres per litre
• Adhesion: Excellent on metal surfaces
• Available sizes: 0.5litre, 1 litre, 2.5 litres, 5 litres, 10 litres or 20 litres
• Application: Paint brush, roller or spray
