Description
ZEROFLAME paint can be used either by itself or beneath other decorative finishes to achieve class 0 and class1 fire protection. ZEROFLAME has been successfully tested to BS476 parts 6 & 7 on materials such as softwood, plywood, MDF, pre-painted fire insulation board and plaster baord etc. Under test, no loss of performance has been recorded when ZEROFLAME paint has been overcoated with up to three coats of acrylic paint or latex finishes. Water based formulation with a matt white finish.
Application
Can be applied by brush, spray or roller. Surfaces to be coated must be thoroughly clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust etc. Existing coatings, if found to be suitable, should be thoroughly abraded and all dust and debris removed. Absorbent surfaces should be primed with a thin coat of ZEROFLAME paint in addition to the full specification. Apply ZEROFLAME paint at a coverage rate of 3.7m2 per litre to achieve a dry film thickness of 230 microns in one or two coats. If a coloured or distresses finish is required then overcoat with an acrylic or latex finish in not more than 3 coats to give the desired colour or finish effect.
